Located in the upper northern reaches of The Irvine Ranch, Weir Canyon is known for its diverse geology that includes deep canyons, steep hillsides and oak woodlands. In fact, the canyon’s bountiful oak trees form what is believed to be the largest and most vibrant woodlands of its kind in Orange County. Weir offers a variety of trails for hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians, and contains the northern terminus of the 22-mile Mountains to Sea Trail that travels all the way to Upper Newport Bay.
