Crystal Cove State Park spans three-and-a-half miles of pristine, unobstructed shoreline and encompasses nearly 2,800 acres of wooded canyons, bluffs and hiking and equestrian trails. The park supports a wide variety of native vegetation, including chaparral, riparian, sycamore and oak woodland, which in turn support deer, bobcats, raccoons, coyotes, ground squirrels and many coastal and inland birds. Offshore is a California “Area of Special Biological Significance,” so designated because of the abundance of sensitive marine life and habitat.
