Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve

Nature must have been in an especially creative mood when Limestone Canyon was formed: From a striking formation known as “The Sinks,” to a year-round dripping spring in a verdant grotto, to thick oak woodlands, the canyon has something for every outdoor adventure-seeker. Not surprisingly, Limestone is a favorite destination on The Irvine Ranch for hikers, mountain bikers, painters, photographers and naturalists.

Featuring richly diverse flora and fauna, the 5,500-acre Limestone Canyon is home to a striking geological formation called the "Sinks" that is frequently compared to a miniature Grand Canyon.
